As a band the Mr. Love Jones journey is only beginning. Forming in January 2005 the four members have made great strides working towards the goal of becoming a successful touring music act. What originally started as a mission taken on by Ramon aimed at helping Tim & Shane un-ground an earlier music project titled “Suspicious Package” the cast including sit-in drummer Adam Black quickly realized they had stumbled on to something special and Mr. Love Jones was born.

To gain an edge the band decided they wanted to take a more business approach in reaching their goals. They quickly formed their own entertainment company and brought in a team of passionate colleagues to manage the band. This allowed the four guys to focus on what brought them together; the music.

Chemistry, clicking, gelling, whatever you want to call it, the four guys had it or were doing it. Maybe it was their talents, unique skills, or past musical experience that helped fuel the creativity. Whatever the case, the group was able to capitalize and quickly write an array of new music to be featured on their first full-length album titled “Apology” The disc flaunts a number of promising tracks including “Bed of Thorns”, “My Dear”, Perfect Man”, “No Longer Addicted”, “Until Then ” along with the title track “Apology”.

Gained past experience taught Mr.LoveJones that if going to be “successful” more than just a fresh new studio album would be needed. Delivering the total package would become the goal. This included a supporting tour. “We want to give our audience that ‘wow’ effect” states bass and piano player Ramon who’s skill set includes music & video production. “We want to leave them wanting more..” With the ever-charismatic Shane Wayne fronting the band pleasing the crowd should never pose a problem.

“Each of us has went through different things in the past that help us stay focused on our goals” states Timmy Wonder, guitar player for Mr.Love Jones “We each bring certain skills to the table” When I listen to our music I think to myself, wow this really is something special” Part of the overall equation was to “Stand on our own two feet”. “All the work and planning that goes on behind-the-scenes is just amazing to me”. “Pulling this off has been quite an accomplishment”. “The Mr.LoveJones bus is fired up and rolling off and were all so excited to be along for the ride”.

MLJ electrified an amped crowd at the Voodoo Lounge this past summer as they released their first full length disc. The band also revealed it's three music videos all shot to help support the "Apology" CD. With a single stellar performance the band quickly earned many new fans and has been satisfying it's target audience with a host of shows and the launching of the Official Mr. Love Jones Web Site. The band has made a practice of growing and keeping its fan base by taking full advantage of it's new MLJ networking MySpace web site.

Mr. Love Jones continues to deliver an intoxicating blend of styles that appeal to a broad base of music lovers. The band is currently recording new material for their unnamed new disc. Songs such as "Barely American", "Havoc", "Bum Bigly", "American Nightmare","Muddy Back Roads", "Ms. Rainy Day" & "Only You" are sure to make the cut. Step-by-step the band named Mr. Love Jones has independently been putting the pieces into place and inches closer to it's goal. Financing and building two separate studios, recording an album, shooting videos, captivating audiences, and rockin' the world-wide-web all while continuing to write the heart-felt music that everyone can relate to all help put Mr. Love Jones in a class above the rest.

Where the journey ends or what lies on the road ahead for Mr. Love Jones no one really knows. Success could mean a number of different things. With all the pieces put into place, odds are these guys with all their passion, experience and commitment will find satisfaction in doing what they love and that’s what its really all about anyway; the music.
